The company presented Mississippi 4-H with a $45,000 check Friday to kick off the program to combat obesity.
The announcement was part of a national partnership between the National 4-H Council and UnitedHealthcare.
Mississippi 4-H is one of three states receiving funding for the pilot program. The other states are Texas and Florida.
Officials say the money will support events and activities designed to develop and enhance healthy living through after-school
programs, health fairs, camps, clubs, workshops and educational forums.
