School districts across Mississippi are reporting cases and suspected cases of the swine flu.

Scott County Schools have seen more than a dozen cases. Lee, Poplarville, Hazelhurst, and Vicksburg schools have also seen cases.

Newscenter 11 has already reported several cases in Lauderdale and Clarke counties.

State health officials have not recommended any school closings, but parents are being told to keep their kids home from school until they have been without fever for 24 hours.

There is now a nano technological breakthrough combining titanium dioxide and "c" band ultra violet lighting that can disinfect both surfaces and air in any enclosed area. This is a long lasting solution that is also environmentally friendly. This system has already been used to fight tuberculosis in the homeless shelters in Jackson, and is currently being considered to fight the staff infection and tuberculosis problems in the prison system. Surely if it is good enough to be used on the inmates in the penal systems it is good enough to be used in our schools to fight viral and bacteriological infections.
