The Mississippi Department of Health has approved a certificate of need for an expansion at a Meridian hospital.

It announced Thursday that it will allow Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center
to establish MRI services, including the purchase of MRI equipment.

The expansion will represent a nearly $4 million investment.

Only two other medical establishments in Meridian currently have MRI services.
