A boil water notice has been issued for Russell Utilities in Lauderdale County.

Officials say it's a precaution due to the system losing water pressure, and the possibility that contaminants might have gotten in the lines.

When pressure is restored, customers should boil drinking water before use.

It affects customers on Highway 11/80, Williams Grocery, Russell Baptist Church, Russel Mt. Gilead Road, Dees Road, Harper Road, Lucas Drive, Murphy Road, Shirley Circle, Billy Harper Road, and Betts Radcliff Road.
