Neshoba General Granted CON

The Mississippi Department of Health has approved a certificate of need for Neshoba General Hospital to acquire Air Park Clinic in Philadelphia.

The building will be used as a physicians clinic. No new construction or renovation will be needed. The total cost will be about $2.7 million.

State hospitals must obtain a certificate of need before moving ahead with any expansion project.

This doesn't tell when they got the certificate and Neshoba General has been running the Air Park Clinic since August of 2009. Is the story just now going to run. If not it sounds like Neshoba General jumped the gun a bit.
