A boil water notice will be in effect for water customers in the town of DeKalb, starting Tuesday.

The reason is that service will be interrupted to allow crews to install a new line for the new hospital being built there.

The notice will likely be in effect for a couple of days.

The town said it will issue a notice when tests show there is no contamination.
