Meridian, Miss. Anderson's MRI Center in Meridian received special delivery of a new piece of equipment Monday.
Due to the size, the brand new Oasis Open MRI system was delivered through the roof.
Medical director, Stacy Thaggard, says that with this device will benefit in two ways. It can take images with a magnet that is 4 times stronger, making diagnosing better. It can also be helpful for patients who don't like small spaces.
"Your view is largely unencumbered. There's like 270 degrees of vision. You can see all around you except for a small area," said Thaggard. "And in return they lie still and you get better quality images."
Thaggard says it will take about 4 weeks to get the machine installed and operational.
