The Rose Hill Water Association in Jasper County Tuesday issued a boil water notice.
It affects customers from the intersection of County Road 31 and County Road 3127 to the end of the line, including CR 3127; the intersection of County Road 513 and Country Road 5133 east to the end of the line, including CR 51311 and CR 51313; and the intersection of Highway 18 and County Road 1840, west on 1840 to the end of the line and all county roads connecting to CR 1840, as well as users on County Road 1848.
Also Tuesday, the town of Hickory lifted the precautionary boil water alert it issued several days ago. Officials say tests performed by the Mississippi Department of Health indicate the water is safe to drink.
