The Mississippi State Department of Health is offering free adolescent immunizations for those 11 through 18 years of age at all county health departments during the last two weeks of June.
The vaccinations offered during the two-week promotion are Tdap, HPV, and meningococcal.
This year, Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) vaccination is required for all children entering the seventh grade. This vaccination has been recommended for all adolescents since 2006.
Mississippians can visit any county health department during its regular working hours for vaccinations. Please contact your county health department for hours and availability.
