Meridian, Miss. Runners and walkers laced up their shoes for a good cause on Saturday.
Saturday was the fourth annual Queen City Race for Life and fifth annual Street Strut. It's all to honor breast cancer survivors and to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event has a special meaning for founder Cindy Kane Schrock.
"I started this event in memory of my sister four years ago that suffered breast cancer from 2005 to 2012, Judy Bounds Rutledge," Schrock says. "And we're just here to support breast cancer, kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month."
Organizers are expected to raise between $13,000 and $15,000.
