The University of West Alabama Board of Trustees has approved plans to establish a health clinic and wellness center on campus.

The venture is a partnership with the city of Livingston and Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Officials say it would serve the community, as well as students.

In a news release, UWA said the city will pursue the funding to build it and the university and Anderson would lease the space.
