Meridian police say they responded to the scene of shooting about 12:10 a.m. Wednesday in a parking lot in the 2000 block of B Street. Police say the area has home to clubs known as Fusions and Club VIP.
Officials say four people were shot, with the most serious injury to a victim shot in the upper torso. 21-year-old Rocderickus Bourdeax of Meridian died of his injuries.
The other three victims had each been shot once with wounds to the leg, hand or lower torso. All three were transported to a local hospital for treatment, with at least one of them requiring surgery.
Police say they are examining evidence at this time and following leads, but no arrest has been made so far.
