A third Mississippi College student has died from injuries suffered last week in an automobile accident on the Gulf Coast.
Friends, family members and classmates were holding on to hope that 19-year-old Beth Finch, of Clinton, would survive. She was one of four passengers in a 2000 Toyota 4-Runner driven by Lindsay Miller, 19, of Pascagoula.
Miller died Saturday. Finch died Monday at Garden Park Hospital in Gulfport. A third classmate, Maksim Sisoev, 20, a foreign exchange student from Uzbekistan, died at the accident scene on Interstate 10 in Biloxi.
Miller's twin brother, Josh Miller, and Nicole Thurman, also 19, were the other passengers. Both were treated and released from hospitals.
Authorities say the driver of another vehicle cut off Miller on Interstate 10. Miller's vehicle went sideways across the lane, impacting the barrier inside of the roadway. The vehicle rolled over and ejected two passengers.
