A jury in Jasper County has awarded $131,000,000 to the family of Brian Cole, who died in a vehicle wreck in 2001.

Cole was a standout at Meridian High School and played in the New York Mets minor league system.

The lawsuit alleged that a faulty seat belt design and the propensity of Ford SUVs to roll over after tire blowout resulted in Cole's death.

In its defense, Ford said Cole was speeding.

This PSA video brings attention to just how many first generation Ford Explorers are still on the road putting people at risk. The car has VERY significant flaws and people need to stop driving them! Please watch and share this video. http://youtu.be/PQk1-DJxQzc
