Wishes Come True

A recent fundraiser in the Meridian-area helped support the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Mississippi.
The Meridian Association of Financial Advisors hosted the fundraiser.
The foundation's Ann Massey said efforts like this will help make a shopping spree wish come true for a local girl.
"I told her to make a list of what all she wants and what day she can go," said Massey. "And you can't believe the smiles on their faces. These are for children with life threatening illnesses. They do not have to be terminal. We hope it won't be."
The winner of a recliner, donated by La-Z-Boy in Newton, was Jeannette Smith of Enterprise.
