It started out as an idea, but now it's a reality. Magnolia Lake Estates is well underway.
"We have construction going on 12 homes," said developer Tim Sharp. "People will be moving in next month."
All together there are 130 lots. Eventually, there will be close to 1,000, surrounding a new golf course. But with no new job growth, how do they expect to fill the lots?
"We are focusing on retirees and we're talking with some interested unions," said Sharp.
And this will not be the only retirement community in the area.
"We've been planning this since before we heard about Cooper (Retirement Community)," said Sharp. "We think it's a good retirement community."
Sales on lots for the golf course have already begun.
