Work continues on the Highway 45 four-lane project in Clarke County.
The Mississippi Department of Transportation opened two lanes for north and south traffic Tuesday, just south of county road 261.
The old lanes from that point to just north of Shubuta are now closed for some additional work.
Plans are to have the 10-mile stretch of the four-lane between Quitman and Shubuta open by the spring of 2004.
