Graves Visits Meridian

Supreme Court justice and candidate for re-election, James Graves, visited Meridian Monday.

Justice Graves had breakfast with members of the Council of Governments.

The Supreme Court justice said it's important for judges to remain impartial.

"It doesn't matter where I'm sitting or who I'm talking to, my speech is the same," said Graves. "Those who objectively examine my record on the court will discover that I am not friendly to any special interest group. The fact of the matter is, I'm fair."

Graves also visited Meridian Rotarians and he will be the guest for WTOK's "On the Record" program Sunday at 5:30 p.m. on Channel 11.
