Specialty Hospital hosted its fourth annual Senior Safety Day and Community Health Fair Thursday.
Health officials said everyone and especially senior citizens should regularly have their blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol checked.
"We also have vendors that are able to help these people when they come in, about their medicines or different things that they can go to, like home health, where they can buy equipment and those type things," said Libby Mitchell, Specialty Hospital's vice president of operations.
This year, Specialty Hospital added diabetic foot care screening to the Health Fair. It also had a balance test for seniors to gauge their risk for falling.
