A verdict was returned Wednesday afternoon in a Lauderdale County murder case.
Jermaine Ramsey, 20, stood trial for the robbery and shooting death of William Gill, 23.
Gill's body was found at the intersection of Highway 496 and 19 South in March 2003.
The jury deliberated over four hours before finding Ramsey guilty on both counts.
Prosecutors tried Ramsey for capital murder, but did not seek the death penalty. That means an automatic sentence of life without parole.
