Train Accident Followup

Fifty-one-year-old Robert Barkin from Longview, Texas was killed in the accident.
It happened around 4:00 p.m. at a railroad crossing near the Meridian Regional Airport.
Investigators say the crash happened as Barkin was attempting to cross the railroad tracks with his 18-wheeler. Eyewitnesses said it appears Barkin did not see the train.
No one else was injured.
After an almost four hour delay, the train resumed its course.
