Deputies Look into Report of Suspicious Behavior

A possible abduction may have been foiled Monday at Clarkdale Attendance Center in Lauderdale County.

School officials reported to the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department that a stranger was on campus talking to a child, but when approached by an adult, the man quickly fled.

"He's been described as a black male with a gray goatee. (He) stood approximately 5'5" in height up to six feet in height, slender build. He had on black pants and a black shirt and a cap. The individual was driving a bluish, greenish colored vehicle. (We) believe it was a two-door. We have no tag information on the vehicle," said Maj. Ward Calhoun of the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department.
