No Charges in Airport Scare

Authorities say no charges will be filed against an unidentified man whose carryon briefcase contained a suspicious object.

The incident forced an evacuation of Jackson International Airport on Oct. 7.

Hundreds of people were ordered out during the scare, and flights were delayed.

The airport reopened after the bag was destroyed with a water cannon. The bag was found not to have a bomb.

Authorities said the passenger was questioned for about an hour and a half before being released.
