The annual Wesley House Christmas Party brought the holiday in a little bit sooner than normal.
Children huddled around Santa to receive a gift.
"I think it is wonderful because this is the holiday spirit," said Nell Grissom, executive director of Wesley House.
The Christmas party holds an importance for these children, as some of them come from low income families, live in foster care and have been abused.
"I think it is so important to give these children the same opportunity that other children do," said Grissom.
The annual event has been going strong for the past 15 years.
"They would not have a Christmas at all and this is the only party these kids will have," said Grissom.
It was truly a day these kids will not soon forget. It was also one that embodies the essence of what giving to others really means and the joy received doing it.
