Mississippi Power Company is ready to deal with possible outages, according to company spokesman, Kurt Brautigam. He told Newscenter 11 Tuesday afternoon that MPC is ready, even if the storm affects the Meridian area and points to the north and west.
"We will have all of our crews remaining in their normal locations," said Brautigam, who traveled the state Tuesday, connecting with media outlets. "All the crews held in Meridian will stay and make their preparations here and we'll just plan on responding to whatever happens throughout our service territory."
Brautigam said Mississippi Power is ready for whatever happens and he believes they will be able to restore power as quickly as possible.
