The computer training center at the Kemper County Business Incubator has been renamed in honor of Lyda Wyche, the longtime secretary at the complex.
Wyche has been at the facility since it opened in the 1980s. The training center is used to improve the computer skills of Kemper County citizens.
"And it's been her passion to work towards improving the skills of our workforce here in Kemper County," said Mike McGrevey, executive director of the Kemper County Economic Development Authority. "So today we're dedicating this training laboratory as the Lyda N. Wyche Training Center."
The center teaches basic computer skills and programs, at no cost to those who sign up.
