Two Arrests in Carjacking

The Kemper County sheriff's department has two suspects in custody for a recent carjacking and shooting.

Sheriff Sam Tisdale said the victim knew suspects Tyrone Hersey and Montrail Cole.

Everitt Nicholson's car was taken Friday, Oct. 4, outside a club in Porterville.

"They just took his car. I mean, just took it, you know and just left," said Sheriff Tisdale. "Took it over in Lauderdale County where they stripped it down and everything, except the wheels, and left the car."

Hersey and Cole were arrested by the Lauderdale County sheriff's department Thursday morning and turned over to Kemper County. Both are charged with aggravated assault and carjacking. The victim was shot at but not injured.
