A woman was transported to a Meridian hospital early Thursday afternoon.
She was the only person involved in a one vehicle wreck on Highway 39, about a half mile north of Stennis Drive near Meridian.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol said the driver lost control of the Ford Explorer in a curve.
The SUV crossed into the oncoming lane and then back, down an embankment, flipping twice.
The vehicle was severely damaged, but the MHP says the driver's seat belt may have saved her life.
