Students Compete for Honors

Northwest Junior High School held its annual science fair Friday in the school library.

Ninth grade teacher Christy Batchelor praised the level of participation.

"We started with about 300 projects. We have 72 of our best today. We're judging the best three in each category and we can send all of them to the science fair in Starkville. It ends up being quite a lot. "

Batchelor said she anticipates around 45 students moving on to the next level of competition in Starkville.
