Walgreen Drugs is entering the Meridian market. The company has purchased the property at 14th Street and 24th Avenue across from Super Stop to build a 15,000 square foot drug store.
Construction could start within a week.
A Walgreen's spokesman told Newscenter 11 Thursday they have wanted to enter the Meridian market for several years.
He said the 24th Avenue site was selected because it is near the hospitals and has a high traffic count.
