Senior and Community Health

Specialty Hospital sponsored its annual Senior Safety and Community Health Fair Thursday.

Free screenings were available, to check bone density, hearing, mobility and strength, as well as blood pressure and cholesterol.

"The elderly population, we just want to make sure that they keep informed of what those things are," said Libby Mitchell, vice-president of operations for Specialty Hospital. "Just as we get older we need to do those on a periodic basis to make sure that those are in line with our body."

More than 500 people took advantage of the chance to learn more about their health.
