Third District Endorsements

Cong. Chip Pickering has been endorsed for re-election by the Mississippi Pharmacists Association.

He visited McBeath Drug Store in Newton today to make the announcement.

Pickering said he's most proud to have multiple endorsements from the medical community.

"It gives an independent, objective assessment of the candidates' positions, the candidates' records, the candidates' leadership potential and ability," said Pickering. "I think it's really important that all of these groups have looked at our records and made a decision to support me."

Pickering's Democrat opponent, Cong. Ronnie Shows, campaigned in the Jackson area today.

Shows has been endorsed by several groups as well, including the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the National Association for Retired Americans.
