According to investigators, the unidentified victim is doing better than expected and staying with an out-of-town relative. Almost two weeks ago the woman was found brutally beaten near St. Joseph's Catholic Church on the corner of 18th Avenue and 19th Street. At this time, no arrest has been made in the case.
Since her release from the hospital, police say they have been able to talk to her about what happened the night she was attacked. However at this time, they say it's still too early to name any suspects.
The woman was discovered wearing only a t-shirt on Saturday, November 12 around 6:30 in the morning. Police say they believe the attack happened just hours before the woman was discovered at about 1 o'clock that morning.
