186th Passes Inspection

The 186 Medical Group, a unit of the Mississippi Air National Guard's 186th Air Refueling Wing at Key Field, received a rating of excellent Sunday as a result of a three-day health services inspection.

The inspection conducted by a four member team from the Air Force Inspection Agency at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico assessed medical readiness, management effectiveness and quality of healthcare delivery at the 186 ARW.

"(The) inspection results confirm the high quality and standards of the people of the 186th Medical Group and it also confirms the high quality doctors, nurses and other health care professionals in our region that choose to support their country by serving in Meridian's Air National Guard," said Col. Erik Hearon, commander of the 186th ARW.

The 186th Medical Group provides medical services to over 1,000 members of the 186th Air Refueling Wing and the 185th Company G Army National Guard Aviation Unit at Key Field.
