A strike at Lockheed Martin in Marion, Miss., outside Meridian and Marietta, Ga., completed a third day on Thursday.
Local 2386 voted in favor of a new contract by a 51 to 40 margin, but fellow workers in Marietta rejected it.
Members of the International Association of Machinists have been at odds with management over some benefits for future employees.
However, according to Lockheed, both sides have agreed to meet for talks on Saturday. The company released the following statement:
"The parties have agreed to meet on Saturday to discuss the issues in dispute. Both parties have agreed not to make further statements on the discussions in advance of the meetings."
