Cash Saver Cost Plus Food Outlet has been open for a few days. But the new business in Meridian celebrated officially with a ribbon cutting Tuesday.
Todd Vowell of Triple V, Inc., which owns the store, says the pricing system is different from a traditional store.
Vowell said the prices on the shelves represent the cost of getting the product there. And ten percent is added at checkout to cover operating costs and allow the store to make a profit.
"We feel like it's the best way to save your family money," said Vowell. "We think that by doing a year-round low price, it's much better than the high-low game and the ads that you sometimes see from other retailers."
Triple V owns 12 stores in Mississippi and Alabama. This is the second Cash Saver. The other is in Carthage.
