A Bay Springs High School student was arrested Tuesday night at a basketball game in Enterprise.

The arrest came after an investigation into some cash and cell phones being stolen from the Enterprise boys' locker room Tuesday. One of the cell phones has not been recovered.

The 16-year-old, whose name was not released due to his age, faces a charge of petit larceny.

"The case will be presented to the youth court in Clarke County," said Sheriff Todd Kemp. "He will face those charges here in Clarke County in the youth court system here."

It is unclear if the student was a member of or associated with the Bay Springs basketball team. Bay Springs chose not to comment on the situation.

Enterprise athletic director Joel Speed says officials from the other school have been totally cooperative throughout the investigation.
