Nineteen-year-old Tony Bingham and a 16-year-old have both been charged in the robbery and beating.
The incident happened last Thursday afternoon at the store in the Dixon community. Investigators say store owner Wendell Watkins was found more than an hour after it happened.
"They beat him up pretty bad there and it could've been worse because they had a loaded firearm when they went in to rob him, so I'm sure that if he wouldn’t [have] tried to resist them, they would have shot him," says Neshoba County Sheriff Larry Myers.
Both Bingham and the juvenile who's charged are being held in the Neshoba County Jail on $50,000 bond.
