Good News for Sextuplet Family

Parents of sextuplets fighting to save their home from foreclosure got a financial lift Sunday. The congregation of Sixth Avenue Baptist Church in Birmingham raised $10,000 for Christopher and Diamond Harris.

They planned to present the gift at this morning's worship service. It's the largest donation yet for the couple. Pastor Al B. Sutton, Junior, says the church got involved after news reports about the Harrises fight to save their home in suburban Birmingham following the birth of the sextuplets in July.

So far, the couple has collected enough funds to stall foreclosure, hoping to pay off the $103,000 mortgage. The largest donation previously announced was $5,000 from the nonprofit Dove Foundation through the American Family Funds.
