The Mississippi chapter of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors is designed to help electricians stay informed of constant changes in building codes and safety standards.
"We are big on education. In a lot of areas we are going into the 2005 code. There are a number of changes in the 2005 code and that's what we are doing now, presenting those changes," said James Kennedy, southern president of the IAEI.
Participants in the program will be issued certificates of continued education. The seminar was previously held in Biloxi, but the attendees enjoy Meridian so much they decided to continue to have it here.
