The East Mississippi Business Development Corporation celebrated the success of its "School Counts" program in an awards ceremony Friday at Meridian High School.
The program rewards the type of behavior that employers are seeking in the workforce.
"The education committee of the EMBDC identified this program, School Counts, that identifies four characteristics that are necessary for a student to be successful in the workplace, behavioral skills," said EMBDC president Wade Jones.
Two hundred twenty five students at Meridian High met the criteria of the program and were awarded School Counts cards.
