Monday morning during its regular meeting, the Clarke County Board of Supervisors presented the parents of Spc. Shane Pugh a resolution recognizing his heroic efforts.
"This is something that the Board of Supervisors wanted to do," says board president Paul Mosley. "We wanted to do it because the young man was raised in Clarke County and we wanted his family and the people of the county to know that the Board of Supervisors remembers, and we suffer along with their loss, and we wanted them here to present them with this resolution."
Last month, Spc. Pugh, who had moved to Causeyville, was killed in the line of duty while serving in Iraq.
