Wreck Claims Teen

The Mississippi Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a fatal one-vehicle wreck late Monday morning on Highway 19, north of Meridian.
The mishap claimed the life of 16-year-old Candace Garrett of Union.
Trooper Sgt. Mike Cain said Garrett lost control of her Toyota 4-Runner, which flipped several times and ejected her from the vehicle.
The wreck happened at 11:24 a.m. near Okatibbee Dam Road and Kinard Marine.
