AN INVESTIGATION IS UNDERWAY INTO A STORE ROBBERY EARLY TUESDAY IN MERIDIAN.
IT HAPPENED AT 3:00 A.M. AT THE XPRESS LANE STORE ON 31ST AVENUE AND ST. PAUL STREET.
AT THAT TIME, INVESTIGATORS SAY TWO BLACK MALES WITH GUNS ALLEGEDLY ENTERED THE STORE DEMANDING MONEY.
"BOTH SUSPECTS ARE DESCRIBED AT 5'10" AND 5 '11", 145 TO 155 POUNDS. ONE OF THEM HAD BRAIDS IN HIS HAIR. THEY FLED THE SCENE WESTBOUND ON INTERSTATE-20 IN A SMALL, MAROON 4-DOOR VEHICLE," SAID LT. DEAN HARPER OF THE MERIDIAN POLICE DEPARTMENT.
