Meridian police have made an arrest after a rash of strong armed robberies over the past several days.
32-year-old Rashid Malik Lathon of Meridian has been charged in connections to the robbery of the CEFCO store on Highway 19 North on April 6th.
That store was one of four robbed in similar fashion between Thursday and Saturday of last week.
Lathon has not been charged in any of the other similar cases as of yet, but he does have pending charges that will be served later this week.
His bond has been set at $75,000.
Here is a look at the other arrests released by Meridian Police Tuesday.
Detrick Thomas, 31, of Meridian. Thomas was charged with Felony Eluding which resulted from the Police chase on April 4th through Meridian. His bond was set at $25,000.
Demarcus L. Davis, 21, of Meridian. Davis was charged with Weapon Possession by a Convicted Felon. This incident occurred on April 7th. His bond was set at $50,000.
Tywane Gowdy, 20, of Meridian. Gowdy was charged with Weapon Possession by a Convicted Felon. This incident occurred on April 9th. His bond was set at $25,000.
Ramon L. Hood, 34, of Meridian. Hood was charged with the February 27th Armed Robbery of the M&B Grocery on 26th Avenue. Bond in that case was set at $50,000. Hood was also charged with an Aggravated Assault that occurred on April 8th. Bond on that charge was set at $75,000. Hood was further charged with a Felony Domestic Violence charge that occurred on February 17th. Bond on that charge was set at $75,000.
Sedrick D. Bohannon, 26, of Meridian. Bohannon has been charged with Residential Burglary, Kidnapping and Capital Rape. All three of the charges stem from an incident that occurred on April 7th. His bond was set at $150,000 per charge. It's noted that Bohannon and the victim knew each other.
Jerrico Williams, 33, of Meridian. Williams was charged with Felony Domestic Violence that occurred on March 22nd. His bond was set at $50,000.
