Cash Seizure

A routine traffic stop in Forest Sunday resulted in the discovery of $55,000. The money was hidden in the engine.

The traffic stop happened on I-20 west at the Forest exit.

According to Chief Mike Lee, the suspect is an illegal immigrant and is now in custody. Police aren't sure how the man got the money. The case is still under investigation.
