A convicted killer is scheduled to die Tuesday night for the murder of a Houston, Texas, police officer.
Officer James Boswell was gunned down in 1989 as he approached the vehicle of Craig Ogan. Boswell was a native of Meridian. His family is present for the execution.
Ogan will be the 30th inmate executed for murder in Texas this year.
