The final results in Alabama's governor's race were made officials Tuesday. Three votes were added to the previously-announced total for Governor-Elect Bob Riley.

Attorney General Bill Pryor said Gov. Don Siegelman's request for a recount was illegal, but there is a need for election reform in the state.

"It's just not a modern election code and we ought to have one," said Pryor. "That means everything you administer, the machines to how you count the ballots and how the absentee ballot counting process works to what the contest provisions are. Everything about the election code,
I think, could use an updating."

Turnout for the Nov. 5 election was the nest ever for a gubernatorial race. Fifty-eight percent of 2.3 million registered voters went to the polls.
