Being leader of the U.S. Senate in 2003 will be better the second time around, according to Mississippi Republican Trent Lott. He made that comparison based on the fact that a Democrat was president then.
"Last time, I was sometimes criticized because of who did I have to work with?" said Lott. "The President of the United States was Bill Clinton. And that made the job doubly hard. This time, I'm going to have a President that I'm in agreement with almost all the time."
Lott said that relationship will be good for Mississippi and good for the country.
