Boggan Sentenced

James Boggan, 22, of Collinsville, was sentenced Thursday in Lauderdale County Circuit Court.

Boggan was convicted in October on three counts of statutory rape.
The incidents involved a 13-year-old girl.

Boggan could have received 20 years to life on each count. His sentenced included 30 years on each count, but the prison terms will be served concurrently.

Assistant District Attorney Lisa Howell said Boggan will have to serve the 30 years day-for-day. Under Mississippi law, prison time for sex-related crimes must be served in its entirety.
